The pharmacy staff is a very important part of the treatment team. We maintain our own oncology pharmacy on-site, with licensed pharmacists and pharmacy technicians who specialize in the mixture of chemotherapy drugs and dispensing of oral medications. They’re always available to consult with patients, staff, and physicians to provide the latest information about drugs and combinations of drugs and to manage the side effects of treatment. Having a direct, clear line of communication assures the best possible treatment and minimizes opportunity for error. The on-site pharmacy is also a great convenience for patients. Prescriptions can be picked up before patients leave, or mailed to them at home.
