mitchellDr. Mitchell received his undergraduate degree with honors in English from Wake Forest University and graduated from the University of North Carolina School of Medicine. He completed his residency at the University of Pittsburgh Department of Internal Medicine, where he received the Thomas O’Toole Award for care to the medically underserved community in Pittsburgh. He served as Chief Fellow at Wake Forest University in the Section on Hematology and Oncology. Dr. Mitchell is board certified in General Internal Medicine, Hematology, Medical Oncology, and Hospice & Palliative Care Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He is a member of the boards of The Mark H. Zangmeister Center and Concord Radiation Therapy, and a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology, American Society of Hematology, Community Oncology Alliance, Columbus Medical Association, The Ohio State Medical Association and the Ohio Hematology Oncology Society. Dr. Mitchell is a 2006 recipient of the “40 under 40” Award from Columbus Business First in recognition of his outstanding professional achievement and community service.
