Ms. Carr received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Ohio University and her Master of Science in nursing/adult nurse practitioner degree from Otterbein College. Prior to joining The Mark H. Zangmeister Center, she worked as an oncology nurse practitioner in Zanesville, Ohio. She serves as a facilitator of a Zanesville-area support group for the Central Ohio Leukemia/Lymphoma Society and is an “I Can Cope” program facilitator for the American Cancer Society. Ms. Carr is founding president of the SEO Oncology Nursing Society and a member of the National Oncology Nursing Society, from which she received the Roberta Scofield Memorial Certification Award. She is also a fellow of the Leadership Development Institute and a member of Outreach Ohio American Cancer Society (former president), Ohio Association of Advanced Practice Nurses, American College of Nurse Practitioners and the American Society of Clinical Oncology. Ms. Carr has been honored for her volunteer work by the Ohio House of Representatives.
