Andrea Linhart started her education with the thought of becoming a novelist, earning a Bachelor of Arts in English from Ohio State University. However, her plans changed when she started her first job out of college as an administrative assistant for a surgical oncologist and being diagnosed with malignant melanoma. Both of these personal experiences helped influence a career change into nursing. Andrea received a Bachelor of Science in nursing from Chamberlin College of Nursing.

After spending six years as a bedside oncology nurse Andrea felt she could use her knowledge and experience to continue to serve and care for cancer patients.
