Zangmeister Cancer Center Collaborates with The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center’s Division of Gynecologic Oncology

Zangmeister Cancer Center to provide enhanced gynecologic oncology services to its patients through a collaboration with university physicians.

COLUMBUS, Ohio, December 18, 2023 Zangmeister Cancer Center, a partner practice of American Oncology Network (AON) (Nasdaq: AONC), is pleased to announce a collaboration with The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center’s Division of Gynecologic Oncology that grants university-affiliated physicians the privilege to provide specialized gynecologic oncology patient care onsite at its Columbus clinic.

The Ohio State University’s Board-certified gynecologic oncologists who will be available at the clinic include David M. O’Malley, MD, director of the Division of Gynecologic Oncology at the university; Kristin L. Bixel, MD; Laura J. Chambers, DO, MS, BA; Casey M. Cosgrove, MD; and Christa I. Nagel, MD.

“The collaboration with the university physicians not only strengthens our position at the forefront of community cancer care but also reinforces our dedication to providing comprehensive, multidisciplinary solutions for our patients,” said Jeanna L. Knoble, MD, managing physician partner and Board-certified medical oncologist at Zangmeister Cancer Center. “Additionally, it reflects our shared commitment to advancing patient care, particularly in gynecologic oncology. We are excited to collaborate with these physicians at our clinic.”

Through the collaboration, patients with gynecological cancers are able to see an oncology specialist without having to travel to the university or another site. Gynecologic oncology care and treatments will be provided at Zangmeister Cancer Center’s clinic with surgery performed at the James Cancer Hospital Solove Research Institute.
